Who knows Generation better than the Creative Head herself?
At Generation HQ, our creations are like our children. We imagine them in our heads, help them evolve on paper, and then we lovingly give birth to them. So asking our Creative Head, Khadija Rahman, to pick five of her most favourite pieces this month is putting her in a really tough position, because how can one possibly choose their favourite child? Somehow we managed to get it done. Turns out, she loves the traditional block print a wee bit more, and white is “life!”
Ode to Handloom suit
What’s not to love about this outfit? According to Khadija, the bold colours and motifs make this ensemble stand out, and of course, “the dupatta is everything!” You can wear it at work sans the dupatta (or pair it with a simpler one) and at dholkis and iftaar parties with the statement dupatta.

Colour seems to be sitting well with Khadija this season. Her reason to recommend this all-purpose peplum shirt is short and simple. “Because it’s versatile with a gorgeous back-slit ” she explains matter-of-factly.
Why wouldn’t you fall for ANYTHING that’s this multi-faceted?

Here is a suit which is inherently traditional yet modernistic in its approach. Don’t understand what we’re on about? Let’s hear it from the woman herself:
“It’s a traditional block print done on this beautiful black and white houndstooth fabric, giving it a very contemporary feel. Plus it is paired with a simple white chikan shalwar that really accentuates the design.”

We were secretly crushing on this one, and guess what? She was too.
“Everyone needs some print in their lives,” she explains the reason behind picking this full-sleeved peplum. “Also, love the simple yet fun look of this one.”

Tales of the folk co-ords shirt and dupatta
The simple all-white suit is more graceful now than it ever was before and eastern wear is just not the same without it. Our creative head seems to swear by it: “You can’t have enough whites in your wardrobe,” claims Rahman, “and the taarkashi dupatta is lit!”
